Freedom Trail

The Freedom Trail is sponsored by the Boston Minuteman Council, in conjunction with the Boston Chamber of Commerce. It was officially opened as an authorized Historic Trail of the Boy Scouts of America on May 28, 1972. Explore the trail and earn the award on your own, or take a guided tour for an average $10 per person.

Museum of Science

USS Salem

The USNSM is home to the USS Salem, the world's only preserved Heavy Cruiser. We are located in the former Quincy Fore River Shipyard, once one of the Nation's largest Shipbuilding Enterprises.

Plymouth Plantation / Mayflower

Be sure to visit our outdoor living exhibits, including the 17th-Century English Village, Wampanoag Homesite and Mayflower II. At the Craft Center, learn more about how our skilled craftspeople recreate the world of the 17th century. You may also want to spend some time in our Hornblower Visitor Center - play and learn in our interactive Family Discovery Station, purchase a souvenir of your time here and support our educational mission at one of three Museum Shops, or grab a bite to eat at the Patuxet Café.
